A specialist pupil referral unit in the Solihull LA are looking to recruit experienced teaching assistants, ideally with Team Teach.

In this role you will be working with primary aged pupils with challenging behaviour, a number of who are on the autistic spectrum and require both 1-2-1 and group support. Overseeing mainly KS1 pupils and possibly lower KS2, you will support on curriculum, contribute to logs, reports and behaviour management. A creative flair to your approach would be ideal to help keep pupils engaged in the curriculum content.

Previous experience in a similar role, supporting pupils with challenging behaviour is essential. Ideally you will be restraint trained in some capacity and be used to working in demanding and challenging roles. Due to a number of new referrals the centre will be in need of support for the summer term, with potential opportunities for the new academic year as well.

There are three girls, aged 5, 3 and 2 years and the eldest is at school. They are looking for someone experienced and cheerful with a "can do" attitude to work alongside Mum in caring for the girls. You must be a good cook and have experience running a busy household and caring for three children. A UK driving licence would be helpful. This is a 5½ day role with some flexability around when the half day falls.

The other half of the couple is a more fluid role, comprising of gardening, general maintenance, grocery shopping and errands. It is expected that you will be happy to muck in around the house, helping with cleaning, ironing, etc. You must have full clean UK driving licence. This is a 4 day role.

You will be provided with a fully refurbished apartment within the grounds and a car for use on and off duty. The family travel extensively, including 2½ months in Austria for the ski season every year, and you will be required to travel with them. The family also have two cats so you must be pet-friendly.
