Closing the gap means gaining an understanding of the likes and dislikes of each party, their aspirations, their list of priorities and, as a result, meshing together people of similar wavelengths. Every client and candidate is an individual who laughs, cries, worries just like we do, so it is terribly important to understand them as people. Many of those we deal with say they like the fact that we are clued up on all subjects but never pushy or intimidating. Above all else we are humble about what we do. Every agency would do well to remember that they only exist because people find using them the best way of achieving a specific end. Placing a great nanny with a great client is the best buzz in business. Knowing that the difference to all parties' lives you have helped facilitate can materially alter all their futures for the better is a wonderful feeling.
