General Teaching Assistants and 1:1 SEN Specialists required for schools in West Stratford-upon-Avon

Your new company
We are currently working with various schools in the west side of Stratford-upon-Avon. The schools located in these areas are looking for Teaching Assistants for General Supply and Long Term work as well as those who have experience of working 1:1 with pupils with SEN. All of the schools we work with have high teaching quality and expect the same standard from their teaching assistant support.

Your new role
The schools are looking for General Teaching Assistants to support various years and ages. Everyday tasks will involve set up of activities at the beginning of the day and tidy up at the end of the day. You will also take charge of creating displays to enhance learning and showcase pupils work. On occasion you may be required to oversee lunch and play during break time. You will need to observe pupils progress and report back to the class Teacher which will be during general class time as well as in small groups and on a 1:1 basis when required. There is also a requirement for teaching assistants who have experience of working with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 basis. These may include: Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD and Behavioural Issues. You would work with them when required on a 1:1 basis, delivering tailored work and recording their progress to report back to the class teacher.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a calm and patient personality to work with children and be comfortable with being adaptable in your support across all age groups. You will have a good knowledge of the National Curriculum and have experience working 1:1 and in small groups. You will be a keen observer and be able to know where pupils will need extra help and support if needed and what that support should be.
