Children's residential support worker, £9.47ph. Birmingham City Council. Birmingham, (Level 3/NVQ 3 in CAYPW)

Your new company
Hays are currently recruiting Children’s Residential Support Workers on behalf of Birmingham City Council. You will be working across a number of children's residential homes Birmingham and surrounding areas such as Aston, Acocks Green and South Birmingham, with a variety of shifts available to suit your needs.

Your new role
Your new job as a Children’s Residential Support Worker will be supporting children and young people within the children’s homes ensuring they receive the highest levels of care and support which is appropriate to their individual needs and independence. We work with four children’s residential homes across Birmingham so you will have access to a variety of jobs and shifts local to you.

What you'll need to succeed
Every applicant must have a Level 3 Diploma or NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young Peoples Workforce. We unfortunately are not able to take your application any further if you do not obtain this qualification at grade level 3 or higher. You must also have a minimum of six months experience working in a similar setting with children and young people. It is essential that you have experience with all types of service users such as learning difficulties, disabilities and challenging behaviour (EBD). Please note some aspects of personal care will be required where necessary so you must be comfortable with carrying out such duties to ensure children are fully looked after against local authority guidelines.
